Cavite State University. June 2018. Adviser: Prof. Zion M. Cleto. This study was conducted from March to April 2018 in Cavite State University Main Campus located in Indang, Cavite. This was done to assess the level of appreciation of the combative sports athletes in Cavite State University on Filipino martial arts and foreign martial arts. Specifically, the study aimed to: L determine the demographic characteristics of the combative sports athletes; 2. identify the level of appreciation of the athletes on Filipino and foreign martial arts; and 3. find out if there is a significant difference on the levels of appreciation of CvSU combative sports athletes on Filipino martial arts and foreign martial arts when grouped according to demographic characteristics Descriptive research method was used in the study. The Likert-type items utilized a five-point response scale: strongly agree, agree, moderately agree, disagree and strongly disagree. 'Ocular or field visit, interviews and distribution of survey questionnaires were done to gather data. The campus had 40 combative sports athletes. Everyone was included as participants in the study. Participants were grouped according to their demographic characteristics. Results showed that the athletes generally appreciate their sports.
