Abstract: ILAGAN ,FATIMA CAMUS .Applied Research (Agricultural Science Curriculum) , Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang , Cavite . April 1994 . Performance of Dendrobium sp. (Jaq . Thomas) as Affected by Different Liquid Fertilizers Adviser: Mrs. Cecilia Capalad The study entitled Performance of Dendrobium sp . (Jacq . Thomas) as Affected by Different Liquid Fertilizers' was conducted at the author 's residence in Bancod , Indang, Cavite from May, 19 g 3 to November, 19S13 in order to determine the effect of different legume tea manures and coconut water on the growth of Dendrobium. It also aimed to determine the best fertilizer for Dendrobium plants. A total of 150 pseudobulbs were used in the study. They were arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design ( RCBD) with five treatments replicated three times . The treatments where: T0 Control ,T1 ipil-ipil tea manure, T2 madre de cacao tea manure,T3 calopogonium tea manure, and T 4 coconut water . Significance at 1% level was obtained in the average increase in height . Significance at 705 level was obtained in the average increase in number of leaves and in average increase in number of pseudobulbs . No significant results were obtained in the average increase in leaf width and in average increase in leaf length. It was observed that calopogonium tea manure is the best treatment as far as the growth of dendrobium is concerned . Results of this study is attributed to the different nutrient composition of the different tea manure and coconut water The author recommends further study on the effect of these liquid fertilizers on the growth of plants. The author further recommends the use of organic material present in the locality.
