Abstract: An income generating project, "Detasseling and Fertilizer Application Using Trichoderma Induced Com-post in Corn Production'', was conducted from June 1992 to January 1993 at the Crop Science Production Area, Don Severino Agricultural College in Indang, Cavite. The project aimed to train the student on detasseling and on the use of trichoderma induced compost in the production of corn. Specifically, this aimed to determine the cost and return of producing corn with the use of organic fertilizer and to demonstrate the appropriate management practices in detasseling. Corn was harvested 115 days after planting and part of these were dried and shelled before market-ing. From the project, a net income of P1,814.00 was realized by deducting the total expenses of P2,030.00 from the total sales of P3,844.00. Return on Investment (LOI) was as high as 89.35 percent because the total expenditure was very low com-pared to the total amount invested in the project.
