Abstract: A project entitled "White Corn Production" was conducted at Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite from November 1994 to February 1995. The project aimed primarily to increase the farm income through the adoption of recommended practices for white corn production likewise, it aimed to improve the skills and knowledge of the farm practice student in managing a small agricultural enterprise especially on corn production. An area of 1,500 square meter was used in the production of white corn. It was plowed and harrowed twice with the use of animal drawn implements. After thorough land preparation, shallow furrows 75 centimeters apart and 8 to 10 centimeter deep were made at the time of planting. All the recommended cultural management practices such as weeding, cultivation, fertilizing, and pest and disease control were carried out and followed in the project. Corn was harvested 91 days after planting. A total of 571 kilograms of grains (8000 corn ears) were harvested from the project. A net income of P6,470 was realized after deducting the total expenses of P4,950 from the total sales of P11,420.00. The project yielded a 130% Return on Investment (ROI) indicating that the project is highly feasible especially under Tres Cruses condition.
