Abstract: This Farm Practice entitled; Pickling Cucumber Production and Management (Cucumis Sativus; Linn) was conducted at the Vegetable Production Area of the Department of Crop Science, DSAC, Indang, Cavite from November to February 1995. It aimed primarily to enable the student gain experience in handling and managing small scale cucumber Production Project. Two separate locations were established in the project. The first site was established with two seed of cucumber sown in prepared holes at a distance of 50 between hills and 1.0 meter between rows. On the location, one seed was planted in 8x12 polyehtelene plastic bags. Flowers emerged 25 days after planting. The first fruit developed seven days after flowering. Harvested fruits were classified based on fruit weight and length. Gerkins weighing 15-20 g were sold at P20.00 per kilo; Dill weighing 20-40 g and Slicing 40 kg and above were sold at DSAC Marketing Center kilo, respectively. A gross income of P9,325.00 was obtained while the total expenses incurred was total expenses of P5,851.5. After deducting the total expenses P5,851.5 from the gross income was realized. P9,325.00 a net income of P3,383.5 was realized.
