Abstract: ANGUE, JOEL CASIPE. Sherwood Hills Golf Club Inc., Trece Martires City. Field Study Report. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002: Adviser: Mr. Louie R. Samson. A study was conducted to train the student in various way of working in the business, provide knowledge on how to work as a real employee, expose the student in the so-called “employee-employer relationships” to be competent and to prepare him for future employment; enhance business insights to have an idea on how to process papers and documents and identify problems encountered in the billing and collection section and recommend possible solution to the problems identified. The study was conducted at Brgy. Cabezas, Trece Martires City, Cavite from October 18, 2001 to February 15, 2002. The data were gathered through observations and interviews with the Comptroller, HRD Supervisor, Membership Secretary, Billing Staff, Caddie Master and Golf Director. Other information were obtained from the files and records of the company, researches in Tagaytay City Hall Library in Tagaytay City, Philippine Sport Commission in Vito Cruz, Manila, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Silang, Cavite and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Makati City. Sherwood Hills Golf Club Inc. is a service entity in leisure business committed to customer’s satisfaction. Its company rules and regulations are well planned and well organized. However, the company faces a number of problems particularly in the billing and collection section such as processing of papers, delay of monthly billing for the members and shareholders through courier and incorrect account balance of members and shareholders. Assignments at the billing and collection section include clerical works. Filing of Acknowledgement Receipt (A.R.), Official Receipt (O.R.), Provisional Receipt (P.R.), statement of account, call form, change of billing address, and returned mail documents: updating of members and shareholders file; arranging of folders of members and shareholders; photocopying of necessary documents and sending fax messages to the members and shareholders and to the different clients were among the job. The Sherwood Hills Golf Club Inc. has a plan to establish model houses for the members and shareholders and to the different clients of the company. In addition, the company is planning to have advanced tools particularly in information technology to have the accuracy of work.
