Indang, Cavite. April 2003. Adviser: Ms. Christina R. del Mundo. A field study was conducted at Pacific Glass Corporation at Sheridan St. Mandaluyong City from November 12, 2002 to February 21, 2003 to expose the author to different management operation of the firm. It also aimed to: exercise how to work as a real employee; determine the existing problem encountered in the firm; gather relevant information about the firm; describe the firm organizational activities and management practices; and relate and apply classroom-based education to day-to-day operations of the company. Data and information were gathered from the files, records, observation and personal interviews with the managers and other employees of the firm and from the books and other library researches. The company is a manufacturing firm. It produces different styles of decorative glass products. This includes OPUS color coated glass board, PROFILES present FLAIR, GRAPHICOTE and LUMINARI glass color coating system, LIFESTILES designer glass tiles, the GRAPHICOTE glass coating technology, and PROFILES present ELITE. The company obtained a net income after taxes of P1, 775,688 in 2000 and P947,788 in 2001. Total assets amounted to P90,998,624..76 in 2000 and P81,229,950.60 in 2001. The total liabilities went down by the 9.37% in the year 2001 posting an ending balance of P32, 480,207.42. Lack of marketing strategies, competition and economic crisis are some of the problems encountered by the company. Adding some strategies such as bulletin boards in order to give awareness, knowledge or information to its customers can solve these problems. The company has to purchase hi-tech machineries in order to be competitive with others.
