Abstract: JUGO, KEVIN B. and NORENE VILLEGAS. INSEC (Institute of Entomophagy and Cultivation): A Banyuhay Museum, Research and Development Center for Insect Rearing. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Arch. Anne Loraine Salinas. This study was conducted from August of 2021 to June of 2022 in Naic, Cavite, for the proposal of an Entomophagy institution about research and development of insect cultivation and food technology. The general objectives of the study were to: 1. to design a museum and a research development center for collective information about insects especially in developing insects as a new possible food source; 2. design a project or facility that will be beneficial for food technology and its production in terms of farming and cultivation especially in developing and pursuing insects as another livestock or food source soon, holding a bright potential in providing food supply for a growing population; and 3. introduce a more sustainable farming promote entomology and entomophagy, as it is the key to better understand insect cultivation. The study specifically aimed to 1. educate people about the beneficial factors of insects especially as alternative and national food force, breaking the misconception that insects are pest in terms of insect museum, insectarium, and entomology school. 2. introduce a new food source that will be beneficial for the growing population mainly from the development of insects by products through farming and food technology production; 3. pursue insect farming as a more sustainable way of farming; 4. reduce food loss or food waste by insects consuming it; 5. regenerate livestock by pursuing insect base feed; 6. provide training facility for insect farming; 7.generate jobs and businesses like market or restaurant from the development of insects' food and its by- products; and 8. provide architectural plans and design for entomology and entomophagy learning facilities. The factors that the researchers considered for their study were: Site Location, International Guidelines, Food Security, Resilient, Circulation, Safety & Security.
