Abstract: THEA MAE NAGALIZA CABRERA, LARRIE JANE SOSMEÑA SUAN, and LIAN DENIEL DERILON VERTUDES. Delineation and Land use Change Analysis of Bacoor Watershed Using Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing with Ground Truthing. Undergraduate thesis. Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. July 2022. Adviser: For. Junser P. Magpantay. The study was conducted from February 2022 to May 2022 covering different areas of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus, Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to: 1. delineate Bacoor Watershed using Digital Elevation Model and Arc tool in ArcMap 10.8; 2. conduct a ground truthing in different areas within Bacoor Watershed in terms of (a) boundaries (b) drainage pattern or river system; 3. describe the geomorphological features of Bacoor Watershed in terms of (a) area (b) slope (c) elevation (d) drainage pattern or river system; 4. determine the political boundary of Bacoor Watershed; and 5. synthesize and analyze land-use change of Bacoor Watershed using multispectral satellite data in the following timeframe: (a) 2003 (b) 2012 (c) 2021. The result showed that from the unvalidated boundary of the watershed with an area measurement of 6,563.06 hectares it became smaller, and now the validated boundary of Bacoor Watershed has an area measurement of 1,950.89 hectares. Based on the unvalidated boundary of Bacoor Watershed the measured length of its river network is 45.68 kilometers. But upon validating the river network of Bacoor Watershed has a total length of 33.83 kilometers and is connected to a larger watershed which is Imus River Watershed. In terms of Land Use Change, in a span of 18 years from 2003 to 2021 there had been a hugely significant change in the boundary of Bacoor Watershed. Built-up areas have the most significant change when it comes to increasing, Water body increase a little, while Vegetation area has the most significant change when it comes to decreasing.
