A questionnaire was used to gather data from the participants. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical tools such as frequency count, mean, range, and percentage. The average age of the participants was 41 years old. Majority of them were female, married, and non-professionals. The average family size was five members. Less than half of the participants had P5,000 and below income from compensation. The most common reasons of having default payment was payment for utility bills. The average default payment was two times. Over all the participants had sufficient income to pay their monthly amortization in Pag-IBIG. Existence of other needs was found to be significantly related to the level of default payment.
