Abstract: CLARINO, MA. KRISTELLE G. Profile, Employment Status, and Perceived Curriculum Efficacy of Graduates, College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University Batch 2006 — 2007: Bases for Student Enhancement Program. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2010. Adviser: Ms. Armi Grace Bicomong. The study was conducted to determine the relationship among three, the Profile,Employment Status, Perceived Curriculum Efficacy and Student = Enhancement Program of BA Mass Communication, BS Applied Math, and BS Biology of Cavite State University, Batch 2006 — 2007. Specifically, it will aim to: (a) determine the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, general point average, and course; (b) determine the Employment Status of the respondents in terms of position/designation,length of service, status of appointment, relation to the field of specialization, job satisfaction, professional advancement, problems/difficulties encountered, and monthly salary; (c) determine the Perceived Curriculum Efficacy of the respondents in terms of college training and changes need to improved; (d) determine the relationship between the profile and Employment Status of the respondents; (e) determine the relationship between the profile and their Perceived Curriculum Status of the respondents; (f) develop an enhancement program that could be recommended to the department for the students better to develop their skills and rate of possible employment after graduation. The study was able to reveal the 56 graduates. The course of employment and work over a two to three years period after graduation, analyze the relationships between higher education and work in a broad perspective which includes the fulfillment of personal goals such as job satisfaction and objective measurement like job position, income, job security and the type of work. The conducted/concluded tracer study had covered the period from 2005 to 2006. The respondents must be courses of BA Mass communication, BS Applied Math, and BS Biology of batch 2006 — 2007 of Cavite State University. This study was conducted on the Cavite residence of the graduates from October 2009 until January 2010. It was found out what factors are important for professional success of graduates taking into account personal factors like gender, work motivation, acquired qualification during course of study and labor market conditions, evaluate on the basis of the experience and views of graduates, central aspects of the University, including resources, facilities and curriculum and get feedback for their improvement; and identify key aspects of the continuing professional education of graduates, and themes and kinds of courses, including extent, cost, location, reasons for Participation, proposals for University courses. This study further determined the effectiveness of the programs as well as the whereabouts and the present situation of the graduates. The findings of this study can help the institution in its curriculum making or re-evaluation to upgrade the skills needed by its students in consonance with requirements of the industry, thus assuring the graduates of higher chance of employment.
