Abstract: PERIDO, HEIDI, PENUS, CLARISSA, MOJICA, MARIBEL, and DE CASTRO, MARIGIE, "Greenfield Pineapple Production Project" an Entrepreneurial Development Project, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Major in Marketing Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 1998. Adviser: Dr. Maria A. Ersando. An enterprise development project was conducted in Halang, Amadeo, Cavite from May 1997 to March 1998 to provide the students a chance to apply their knowledge on business management by putting up their own business. Likewise, it enabled the students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and to have an idea on the profitability of pineapple production. The project operated as a real enterprise covering the production, marketing, organization, and finance areas of management. While conducting this project, the group's harmonious relationship was developed and strengthened. The project served as a training ground for the student entrepreneurs to apply the concepts and principles they had learned in school and applied their skills in managing the business enterprise. The actual net income or profit of the project was not determined because harvesting of the crop would still be made in May, two months after the project ended. Hence, the income reflected in this report is pure projected/estimated. For the first operation, the project spent a total of P54,774.20; the project's estimated income would be P50,725.80. For the second operation, the project had an estimated expense of P18,282.10; sales is estimated at P173,000.00, giving an expected net income of P154,717.90.
