Papaya Seedling (Carica papaya) Enterprise (F1 RED LADY), Bachelor of Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Crop Production; Cavite State University- Don Severino delas Alas Campus, Indang, Cavite. May 2017, Adviser: Mr. Edgardo A. Gonzales
The project was established at Orchard and Ornamental Nursery Project, Cavite State University- Don Severino de las Alas Campus, Indang, Cavite from and implemented from February to April 2017 with a capital of Php14, 000.00. It aimed to provide opportunity to apply crop production and entrepreneurial skills, determine the probability of production of papaya seedlings and identify the problems encountered in papaya seedling production enterprise.
The project involved one thousand (1000) seedlings of F1 RED LADY papaya in polyethylene bags (3”x”3”7).
Preparation of project site, purchase of seeds and important materials, preparing media, mixing media, and potting media in polybag, were performed during pre-production activities. Soaking, transplanting, application of fertilizer, watering and weeding were performed production activities. F1 RED LADY papaya seedlings sold at the price of Php30.00 each.
The project turned into successful enterprise which student-enterpreneurs can plan and continue to gain high profit in this enterprise.
