Abstract: RAMOS, KAREN; ALARCA, MARYGRACE; CATALAN, RONNIE A. Production and Marketing of Fattening Hogs Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002, Adviser: Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin. An entrepreneural development project was conducted at Mataas na Lupa, Indang, Cavite from November 2, 2001 to February 28, 2002. It aimed to help the student entrepreneurs gain knowledge and experiences in operating a swine production project by applying what they learned in their business management courses. Collection of data was done while performing all the project activities. Relevant data were gathered from CvSU (Cavite State University) and Department of Management Library. During the conduct of the entrepreneural project, the student was exposed to analyze the financial and economic analyses of the project. By means of presenting the income statement and balance sheet, the financial performance of the business were measured and evaluated by using some financial ratios. While in the economic analysis, the economic performance was evaluated through cost and return analysis. As of February 28, 2002, the cash receipts of the project amounted to P72,050.00 as the total cash receipts, the non-cash receipts is zero. And a P6,035 net income was obtained. In the process, they identified some problems in swine raising and formulated possible solutions. Rising feed cost was the major problem identified. The use of inexpensive but good quality feeds and economical feeding method were highly recommended. Based on the result of the study, the partners realized that more than money or any other asset, technical knowledge should be the first investment of anyone who seeks to be an entrepreneur.
