Online resources: Abstract: The project, “Increasing Yield of Mongo Using Native Yellow Variety" is an income generating project initiated by the author under the farm practice program of the Don Severino Agricultural College and the Agricultural Education Outreach Project. This was conducted at Cabuco, Trece Martires City, from August to December 1986. The field was tenanted by Mr. Gregorio Anonuevo, the farmer cooperator. This project aimed in helping the farmers to increase their yield using native yellow and employing cultural practices in growing mungbean. An area of around 5,000 square meters was utilized for the growing of mongo. It was prepared by plowing and harrowing twice at weekly interval. | The student outreach agent was provided with six gantas of mongo seeds amounting #300.00 at #50.00 per ganta, two bags of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) which cost p230.00 per bag. Gash inputs amounting to ~1,470.00 was used for all the expenses. Planting was done during the third week of August and seeds started to germinate rive days after growing. Mung Bean pods were harvested eighty days after planting when pods turned dark brown to black.
