MARAAN, ROBERTO Q. "Performance of Three Eggplant Varieties as Affected by Different Levels of Chicken Manure During Wet Season". Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang. cavite. Thesis Adviser: Mr. Adolfo C. Manuel.
The performance of three eggplant varieties as affected by different levels of chicken manure during wet season was evaluated at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang. Cavite from July to December 1988.
A split—plot design with three replications was used in the experiment with chicken manure as the main plot and three varieties as sub-plots.
Different levels of chicken manure showed significant differences on the number of days from transplanting to flowering, number of fruits per plant. foliage cover rating and vigor rating. Plantsalpplied with one ton chicken manure per hectare gave the best result on the growth of eggplant. Findings show that high application of chicken manure is not advisable for eggplant production. Different varieties of eggplant also showed significant result in almost all parameters observed. Batangas Long Purple performed best compared to Nueva Ecija Strain and Dumaguete Long Purple.
