Online resources: Abstract: This farm practice was conducted at Chavez Poultry Farm in Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite from November 14 to December 24, 1997. This project primarily aimed to harness the student’s entrepreneurial experience and to develop his managerial skills in actual broiler raising. A total of 2,500 day-old commercial chicks were used in the project. The birds were fed ad libitum with commercial broiler feeds throughout the production cycle. Changing of feed was done gradually for three days. Fresh and clean drinking water was made available at ali times. Strict hygiene and sanitation were properly observed to prevent possible disease outbreaks. After the operation, the birds attained an average body weight of 1.80 kg and consumed an average of 3.68 kg of feeds. Feed conversion efficiency was 2.04 kg and a 3.69 percent mortality was recorded during the duration of the project. The project incurred a production cost of #163,317.91 and net income of 37,125.09 with a return on investment of 22.73 percent.
