This project was conducted to determine the actual cost and return of raising 200 heads of broiler and to gain knowledge and skills in managing a broiler production project. This was conducted at Barangay Luciano, Trece Martires City from December,1989 to March, 1990.
A total of 196 marketable birds weighing 273.3 kg. a liveweight divided into two batches was obtained in this project. Birds were fed three times a day. The total feed consumption on the first and second cycle were 348.5 kg. and 310.2 kg., respectively.
The two batches of broiler composed of 100 chicks per batch had four percent mortality during the first cycle but no mortality occurred in the second cycle.
A net profit of P 625.16 was obtained from the first patch of broilers with a total expenses of * 4,497.84 and P 169.03 out of P 4,160.97 total operating expenses from the second batch.
