Online resources: Abstract: The farm practice was conducted at the DSAC Swine Project, Indang, Cavite from October 1994 to January 1995. The activity aimed to help the student acquire managerial skills in fattening hogs and to determine the profitability of this project. Five piglets with an average initial weight of 28.4 kg were used in this project. After three and a half months, each hog consumed a total of 189.6 kg of commercial feeds and attained an average body weight of 92.2 kg. The project spent a total of 219,091.04 and gained a gross income of FP 25,450.00 and a net income of R6,352.42 for five hogs. The actual ROI was 33.26% which was higher than the projected 22.92%.
