The study was conducted to: (1) determine the demographic characteristic of OFW families residing in Mendez, Cavite; (2) determine the level of awareness of OFW families residing in Mendez, Cavite on financial assistance program of OWWA; (3) determine the attitude of OFW families residing in Mendez, Cavite on financial assistance program of OWWA; (4) determine if there is a significant relationship between demographic characteristic of OFW families and level of awareness on financial assistance program of OWWA; (5) determine if there is a significant relationship between demographic characteristics of OFW families and attitude on financial assistance program of OWWA; (6) determine if there is a significant relationship between level of awareness and attitude of OFW families residing in Mendez, Cavite towards financial assistance program of OWWA. The study had a total of 120 OFW families' participants from the district of Mendez, Cavite, Data gathered were analyzed, by using appropriate statistical tools to ;t identify the level of awareness and attitude towards financial assistance program of OWWA. The authors used descriptive statistics and correlation The age of the participants ranged from 20 to '75 years with a mean age of 47.35 years. Most of the participants were female and were the heads of the household. The participants had "low" level of awareness on the financial assistance program of OWWA. However, the participants' attitude towards the said program was highly favorable. The demographic characteristics and the level of awareness of the participants were found to be significantly related in terms of age and monthly allowance. Likewise, the demographic characteristics and attitude were also found to be significantly related in terms of age. The level of awareness and attitude of the participants had no significant relationship and there is not enough evidence to say that this relationship is significant because the P-value is less than the level of significance.
