Abstract: FRONDA, ROLDAN DOMINIC S. and RANDY L. RICAFRENTE. Design and Construction of Frequency Modulation Receivers for the Bell System of College of Engineering and Information Technology. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2006. Adviser: Engr. Mary-Anne B. de Dios-Costa. The design project was developed and constructed at San Roque, Cavite City from the first week of September up to last week of November. The study aimed to design and construct Frequency Modulation (FM) Receiver. The primary purpose of the receiver was to receive and produce audible sound and a clear replica of the signal transmitted. The project was composed of three main circuitries: the receiver itself, power supply and power amplifier. The receiver was composed of RF amplifier, mixer, local oscillator, IF amplifier, limiter, discriminator and emphasis net5work. A split type power supply was constructed to drive the system. A high output power amplifier was used to yield a high output of the sound. Horn speakers were provided, to del\iver/broadc61,the output. The system has an output power of 150 W capable enough to deliver/broadcast the output within the vicinity of College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) and nearby colleges.
