Abstract: DEL CARMEN, LIEZL C. and ANN MARIE CHRISTABEL P. MONTERO. Design and Development of LCD Projector with Remote Controlled Input Selector. Undergraduate Design Project, Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. October 2006. Adviser: Engr. Mary-Anne B. de Dios- Costa. The Design and Development of LCD Projector with Remote Controlled Input Selector was constructed at Indang, Cavite. The general objective of the study was to design and develop a low-cost LCD projector with remote-controlled input selector. The project was composed of two main circuitries: the LCD projector and the remote control. The LCD projector was composed of the input selector, LCD module with 3x3 LCD monitor, lens, halogen light, power supply and speaker. The input selector has eight slots for the different input devices, such as a computer, video camera, digital camera VCD or DVD player. The four slots are used for the video input while the other four slots are used for their corresponding audio input. It also has an infrared receiver that will use to receive infrared signals and in order to command it by the remote control. The remote control has five buttons. One button is used to turn ON or OFF the halogen light while the remaining four are used to select the input to be projected. The design project was presented to the design project adviser, technical critic, and panelists at the second floor of the Three Storey Engineering Building of the CEIT in February 2006. The whole system underwent a series of testing and evaluating through pilot testing. Based on the final evaluation the system has been found satisfactory.
