This study was conducted to determine the profile and personality traits of SPED teachers in relation to their anxiety level and coping style. It was conducted between December 2007 and January 2008 in different sped schools in Cavite area. The general objective of this study is to determine the profile and personality traits of selected SPED teachers in relation to their anxiety level and coping style. Specifically, the study aims to: (1) Determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, civil status, length of service, educational attainment. (2) Determine the anxiety level of the respondents. (3) Determine the coping style of the respondents. (4) Determine the personality trait of the respondents as revealed in measuring scale. (5) Determine the profile and personality traits of the respondents in relationship between anxiety level and coping style. (6) Determine the relationship between anxiety level and coping style of the respondents. This study employed the Point- Biseral Coefficient Correlation and t-tests for statistics. The respondents were determined using the purposive techniques. Whereby, the researcher will locate the sped school in selected areas in Cavite and identify the number of sped teachers in each area. A validated personality traits test, anxiety level test and coping style were administered to determine the personality traits, anxiety level, coping styles and profile. The respondents of this study were 75 selected sped teachers in Cavite area. Results reveals 84 percent of the respondent’s experienced low anxiety and 1.30percent were experienced high anxiety. In the coping style test, it reveals that majority of the respondents are high on coping style and used task-oriented coping which means they are used cognitive or behavioral problem solving techniques when confronted stressful situation. Majority of the respondents are suspicious which means that they tend to be mistrusting, doubtful, self-opinionated and unconcerned about other people. The study showed that the profile of the respondents have no significant effect on the anxiety level. The different personality traits have also no effect on the anxiety level. The study revealed that the coping styles of the respondents do not affect in their profile and only one factor of personality traits affects their coping style. Results of the study revealed that the there is no significant relationship between anxiety and coping style of the SPED teachers.
