Abstract: AVILLA, RHENZILYN LOUISE L., MOJICA, MELISSA O., and QUIETSON, ALYSSA MAE N. Spin and Learn: An Android — Based Application for Grade 1 and 2 Pupils. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2019. Adviser: Ms. Vanessa G. Coronado The study was conducted to develop an alternative way of learning in Mathematics and English for Grade 1 and 2 pupils of Bancod Elementary School. The application was developed for the I st and 2nd grade pupils and the teachers of the said school. The methodology used in the system was iterative and incremental development. It is composed of the following phase: planning and requirements phase, analysis and design phase, implementation phase, testing phase, deployment phase, and evaluation phase. The system is composed of four (4) modules: account management module, game play module, game settings module, and trivia module. The account management module is where the pupils can enter their chosen nickname. The game play module contains the lessons and the quizzes in the game. The game settings module contains the maximizing and minimizing the music and sound. The trivia module contains additional knowledge that corresponds in the lessons. The system was develop using Unity as the developing tool, C# as the programming language for its scripting and Adobe Photoshop CS6 for graphic design and user interface. The result of the assessment on the system by the technical and non-technical evaluators, the mean 4.53 and (SD: interpreted as excellent 0.5825).
