The “lean” approach has been applied more frequently in discrete manufacturing than in the continuous/process sector, mainly because of several perceived barriers in the latter environment that have caused managers to be reluctant to make the required commitment. The study aimed to integrate the lean tools in automotive shop. The study also aimed to inform the readers about the integration of lean manufacturing tools in selected automotive shops at Cavite. Through this research, the readers may be able to know the effects in the automotive shop of lean manufacturing. The researchers may be able to know if the lean manufacturing can be used in service-based companies like automotive shop. Data gathering is done by actual interview and observations to the owner and worker of the automotive shops in Cavite. The researchers analysed and integrated the appropriate lean manufacturing tools for an effective and efficient automotive shop. Automotive shops that were categorized as small had one to three workers and the tools and equipment that they use was basic hands tool like wrenches in the repair shop. Medium automotive shops had four to six workers and the tools and equipment that they use was hand tools and power hand tools like porter cable impact wrenches. The lean tools used in the study were value stream mapping, 5s and hoshinkanri. Value stream mapping was used to classify the value and non-value waste in the process. 5s is applied to organize the workplace. Hoshinkanri (policy deployment) was applied to align the goals of the company, with the plans of middle managements and the work performed on the plant floor. From the previous studies and activities conducted. It can be concluded that automotive shops were classified in small and medium depending in their tools, space of workplace and workers. The most used lean tools are 5s and Hoshinkanri that was integrated in automotive shop.
