Abstract: BAUTISTA, JORDEAN ZYVON, EUSEBIO, JOHN DOMINIC G. Employer's Evaluation of Bachelor of Science in Nursing Graduates of Cavite State University A. Y. 2013-2017 in Tertiary Hospitals of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite, May 2019. Adviser: Dr. Evelyn M. del Mundo Employer's evaluations are critical component of running nearly any hospital. An effective measurement system in place helps an institution gets the most from their nursing staff. Besides, evaluation help the administration to recognize worker's achievements, objectively compare multiple employees and identify areas where improvement is needed. The purpose of this study was to establish a database by surveying employers of baccalaureate-prepared nurses, post-graduation, over a five-year period. Employer surveys measured perceptions of nursing graduates' functioning. Specifically, this study is intended to describe the profile of the participants in terms of: employment profile of BSN graduates of CvSU, employer's profile of Tertiary Hospitals in Cavite; and to determine the employers' evaluation of BSN graduates of Cavite State University A.Y. 2013-2017 in Tertiary Hospitals of Cavite in terms of: Safe and Quality Nursing Care (SQC), Management of Resources, Environment and Equipment (MRE), Health Education (HE), Legal Responsibilities (LR), Ethico-Moral Responsibilities (EMR), Personal and Professional Development (PPD), Quality Improvement (QI), Research ®, Records Management (RM), and Communication (Comm); and to determine which among the employer's evaluation criteria has a significant relationship in the employment profile of BSN graduates of CvSU The study will focus on a random sampling technique to select participants among all Nursing graduates at Cavite State University from year 2013 up to 2017 in Tertiary Hospitals of Cavite. General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital (5) in collaboration with Korean Philippines Friendship Hospital (4) and De La Salle University Medical Center (9). The significant relationship between participants' evaluation criteria and employment were analyzed and discovered that there is significant relationship in age, civil status, employing agency/hospital, year graduated, employment status and clinical area of work from the employment profile of BSN graduates. However, Sex were exempted from the list since it has no significance of relationship at all. Based on the results of the study, the researchers concluded that most BSN graduates excels in terms of each competency that includes Safe and Quality Nursing Care (SQC), Management of Resources, Environment and Equipment (MRE), Health Education (HE), Legal Responsibilities (LR), Ethico-Moral Responsibilities (EMR), Personal and Professional Development (PPD), Quality Improvement (QI), Research (R), Records Management (RM) and Communication (Comm) as evidenced based in previous achievement of College of Nursing by producing globally competitive and morally upright individuals. Therefore, employer's evaluation is presumed to be effective in measurement and assessment of baccalaureate nurses indicated to survey their function and monitor expected level of competency. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended to future researchers. The study was limited due to few number of graduates, insufficient sources of information and time constraint. The literatures were so rare even through internet browsing the researchers had difficulty in data collection. Therefore, more research is needed among researchers of descriptive research design particularly in employer's evaluation to fulfill and improve the concept of a good research title. It is also strongly encouraged that duplication of this study among healthcare providers, College of Nursing faculty, CvSU administrative officials, Government agencies, different educational degrees and among colleges and universities to have discover many perceptions that can contribute to the improvement of the study.
