The purpose of this study was to present an overview of the research on level of effectiveness of the Special Program for Employment of Students to the Youth Beneficiaries in General Trias City, Cavite. The study generally aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Special Program for Employment of Students to the Youth Beneficiaries in General Trias City, Cavite Specifically, its objectives were to 1) determine the socio-demographic profile of the SPES beneficiaries according to their age, sex, household size, family monthly income, and educational attainment, 2) determine the level of effectively to the lives of the beneficiaries in terms of their education, working relationship, finance, and personality enhancement, 3) improvements that SPES Program needs in order to be enhanced. The study utilized the focus group discussion (FGD) and descriptive analysis. The study was composed 99 participants from different barangays. It was used to describe, interpret, explain the conditions of the beneficiaries as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of SPES Program in General Trias City, Cavite
The research found out that the effectiveness of SPES Program to the youth beneficiaries helped them and gave a big impact in changing their lives. The researchers perceived that the program of Special Program for Employment of Students was a firm foundation of the government in developing the country and especially to helped the youth to continue their study with the help of the said program. It was convincing that the program really changed their lives. As part of their suggestions for further improvement of the program, they wish for the PESO Officials that no to backer system, strict screening of applicants according to qualifications, and more slots for the deserving students. It resulted that the program was effective
