Abstract: MARTONITO, JOY BELEN P., PAPA, ARABELLE A., RODIL, LERMA IN., USACDIN, ELAINE R. Applied Research 111 (General Science Curriculum) Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite "RESPONSE OF GUYABANO CUTTINGS (Anonna muricata) TO DIFFERENT CONCENTRATION OF NAPHTHALENE ACETIC ACID (NAA)". Advisers: Dr. Arnulfo C. Pascual and Prof. Dulce L. Ramos The study entitled "Response of Guyabano Cuttings to Different Concentration of Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA)" was conducted from October to December 2001 at Buna Lejos, Indang, Cavite. The study aimed to determine the responses of guyabano cuttings to different NAA concentrations primarily on roots and leaf formation. A completely randomized design was used in the study with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were as follows: treatment I (0 NAA); treatment 2 (50 ppm NAA); treatment 3 (100 ppm NAA); treatment 4 (150 ppm NAA) and treatment 5 (200 ppm NAA). Data gathering commenced when the first leaf appeared approximately 22 days after planting and every two weeks thereafter. The parameters taken were the number of leaves, and number and length of roots. The results of the study showed that both treatments 4 and 5 remarkably affected the root and leaf formation of guyabano cuttings and were significantly different from the rest of the treatments.
