Abstract: DIMAYUGA, LANCE CHRISTIAN B. AND MAHIDLAWON, ANJO P. Development of Dual Tone Multi-Frequency Based Electrical Control System For Dwelling Units. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electrical Technology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Mr. Garry M. Cahibaybayan. The general objective of the study was to develop a DTMF based electrical control system for dwelling units. The study was composed of the major components: SIM 800C GPRS/GSM Shield for Arduino, Arduino Uno R3, Four channel relay module, magnetic contactors and circuit breakers. The main feature of the project was based on the Dual Tone Multi-Frequency capabilities of the SIM 800C GPRS/GSM Shield for Arduino interfaced with the Arduino Uno R3 acting as the microcontroller. The project aimed to control four different types of electrical circuit or load by means of a phone call. The operation is simple and can be understood easily. The phone call from the caller will be picked up by the SIM 800C GPRS/GSM Shield, then the DTMF signals will be decoded into numerical codes by the help of the Arduino Uno R3 and after the numerical codes will process into the four channel relay module that will serve as the switch/ driver for the magnetic contactors.
