Undergraduate Thesis.Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. C State University, Indang, Cavite. February 2014. Adviser: Mr. Willie C. Buclatin. The study aimed to determine the level of awareness and the degree of compliance of selected market vendors in the province of Cavite to the Provincial Ordinance No. 007-2012. Specifically, this research study attempted to determine the following: (a) determine the level of awareness of the selected market vendors in Cavite to the Provincial Ordinance; (b) measure the degree of compliance of the selected market vendors in dealing with the newly approved ordinance; (c) determine the correlation between the level of awareness and the degree of compliance with regards to the Provincial Ordinance; (d) recommend various factors that may help in raising awareness of market vendors to comply in the selected plastic ban and use of eco bag; and (e) endorse additional policies and recommendation that may help in the effectiveness of the implementation of the ordinance. The participants of this study were one hundred eighty (180) from both wet and dry sections in the public market of six municipalities, 30 samples or 16.7 percent equal distribution of each municipality specifically from Bacoor City, Cavite City, General Trias, Rosario, Silang and Trece Martirez City has been taken. Forty seven (26%) of the vendors were male while one hundred thirty three (74%) were female. In the awareness of selected market vendors in Cavite to the provincial ordinance no. 007-2012, majority of the participants are in high level of consciousness and well informed with the selective plastic ban and the use of eco bag as an alternative. From this, significant factor that were related to the awareness of the participants were identified. In the degree of compliance of selected market vendors in Cavite to the provincial ordinance no. 007-2012, majority of the participants were in high level of conformance but slightly influenced with the significant factors. These factors were the participants' demographic factors (age, gender, years of operating and the type of business) that had low positive/negative correlation to the conformance of the vendors. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of awareness and the degree of compliance of selected market vendors in Cavite to the Provincial Ordinance No. 007-2012.
