Effectiveness of Philippine National Policewomen Officers in the Implementation of Their Services Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, May 2017, Adviser Marissa C. Lontoc PhD The study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and problems of Philippine National Policewomen officers in the implementation of their services. It aims to: determine the level of effectiveness of selected female police officers in Cavite on the implementation of their services as perceived by them and their clients in terms of police community relations, patrol and traffic management; to identify the problems encountered by the female police officers in terms of personal, colleagues and organizational; and to know the significant difference on the perception of female police officers and their clients on the level of effectiveness on the implementation of their services. Descriptive — correlational research design was utilized in this study to identify and measure the level of effectiveness and problems of female police officers in their work. It can also look for links between the perception of female police officers and their clients regarding female police officers' level of effectiveness. There were two sets of participants in this study. Stratified random sampling was used in selecting the female police officers while systematic random sampling for their clients. A self-made questionnaire was the key data-gathering tool in the study. Mean and standard deviation and Mann Whitney U test is applied to treat the data gathered. Based on data gathered, female police officers assessed themselves, in terms of Police Community Relations and Patrol as very effective. While in Traffic Management, evaluated the female police officers in terms of Police Community Relations, Patrol and Traffic Management as effective. This implies that there was a minimal significant difference on the perception of female police officers and their clients. Problems faced by female police officers in the implementation of their services in terms of Personal problems female police officers found it difficult to balance work and family. In the problems related to their Colleagues, they tend to experience gender discrimination. While in terms of Organizational problems, they were affected by sufficiency of budget and equipment supply and they consider it as a barrier to execute their job effectively. Hence, the female police officers seldom experience these problems implying that there was a low chance that they would be affected. Based on findings, female police officers maintain their outstanding level of performance and effectiveness in the implementation of their services. Thus, the Philippine National Police may consider assigning more female police officers in operational support units since they were proven effective.
