Abstract: RODERNO, ROSELLE ESPIRITU. Leyran’s Farm-Marahan II, Alfonso, Cavite. Field Study, Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Agribusiness. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2002. Adviser : Mr. Oliver C. Fauni. A three-month field study was conducted at Leyran’s Farm in Marahan IL, Alfonso, Cavite from November 2001 to January 2002. The field study aimed to provide the author the opportunities to apply the gained knowledge, skills and tools in agribusiness management to real life situation and experiences. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) gain knowledge and skills in the production, management, and marketing operations of the farm; 2) study and observe the actual management practices employed in anthurium propagation; and 3) identify the existing problems faced by the management in the propagation of anthurium. Relevant data were obtained through observation, first hand experiences and interviews with the owner. The farm is engaged in the propagation and selling of anthurium either wholesale or retail. The farm is 2 kilometers away from the town proper of Alfonso and has a total land area of 2,500 square meters. Problems encountered by the farm include occurrence of pests and diseases that are caused by fungus and bacteria and lack of water system in the farm. On the other hand, the student encountered some difficulty in handling the job assigned because of lack experience but she was able to overcome these through the help of the owner.

A three-month field study was conducted at Leyran’s Farm in Marahan IL, Alfonso, Cavite from November 2001 to January 2002.
