Abstract: ANONUEVO, MELBA PEREA. Franchise Managers Business Corporation. Cubao, Quezon City. Field Study Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Marketing. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2003. Adviser. Ms. Cristina R. del Mundo. A field study and apprenticeship was conducted on Franchise Managers Business Corporation (FMBC) which is located in Bay 10 St. Anthony’s Building, #891 Aurora Blvd., Cubao, Quezon City. The study was conducted to acquaint and expose the student with the existing management practices, policies and procedures of the company and enable her to provide insights and reflections about the study conducted. The data used in the study were gathered from the files and records of the company. Other pieces of information were obtained through personal interviews with the management staff. Some information were gathered from the Cavite State University Library and College of Economics, Management and Development Studies Reading Room. FMBC is a franchise form of organization. It is one of the several outlets/distribution centers of AVON here in the Philippines. The firm is earning on a consignment basis which was taken from their contractor’s fees. An exposure to different activities and operation of the firm was really a big opportunity for the student to apply gained knowledge and skills in marketing to actual situations. Activities included clerical tasks such as filing, printing, sorting different documents, helping in preparing deposit slips and payroll of the employees, preparing the company’s reminder letters for the dealers, releasing due date extension cards (DECS) and proper monitoring of items and product displays or helping the merchandiser which increased and contributed to the students knowledge and skills. Based on these experiences, it was suggested that the University should give more emphasis on the student’s computer literacy in preparation for future employment.
