Abstract: RAMOS, ROCHEL P. and VALLE, JEANNELYN S. RJ's Processed Meat. Enterprise Development Project. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Agribusiness. Cavite State University. lndang, Cavite. April 2008. Adviser: Dr. Nelia C. Cresino. This enterprise development project was conducted at Brgy.1 Magallanes, Cavite and Brgy. San Gregorio, Indang, Cavite from December 7, 2007 to March 4, 2008. Through this project, the students were able to apply their knowledge and skills in business management to actual business operation. Specifically, it aims to describe the production and marketing activities of the meat processing business, determine the profitability of the meat processing business and identify the problems encountered by the enterprise and recommend feasible solutions to the problems identified. The project focused on the operation and management of home-made tocino, skinless longanisa and hamburger patties covering all the functional areas such as organization, marketing and finance. Through actual operation and observation, data and other information pertaining to the project were gathered. The entrepreneurs used the cost based pricing and competitors' price in determining the prices of their products. The enterprise had an initial investment of PhP20,000.00 which was used for the procurement of necessary tools and equipment and purchase of raw materials and supplies. The total sales during the entire operation was PhP43,898.00. With the total operating expenses of PhP1,428.75, the project realized a net profit of Php7,058.26. The problems encountered by the enterprise were sales decrease during the Christmas and New Year seasons, high cost of raw materials and delayed payments of consumers who purchased their products on credit.
