This study was conducted to determine the relationship of demographic profile, self — concept and marital satisfaction to the perception of infidelity among married couples in San Lorenzo Ruiz 1 and 2 Dasmarinas City,Cavite. This study used descriptive correlational research method to describe and to determine the relationship between demographic profile and perception of infidelity; self — concept and perception of infidelity and marital satisfaction and perception of infidelity. The participants of this study were the married couples of San Lorenzo Ruiz 1 and 2 Dasmarinas City, Cavite. This study used cluster sampling in determining the participants. The research instruments used in the study were Data Personal Sheet; Self Concept Scale, a 20 item questionnaire measuring the level of self-concept of the couples; Marital Satisfaction Scale, a 43 — item questionnaire measuring the marital satisfaction of the married couples and Perception of Infidelity Scale, a 37 - item scale which measuring their perception of infidelity. The finding of the study shows that most of the married couples in San Lorenzo Ruiz 1 and 2 falls at the age of 36 and above and although many different religion exist, the place was dominated by Catholic people. It was also found that they belong to low income family having an average income of 10,000 and below a month. It was also revealed that most of the married couples have at least 2 to 3 children. The results of the study also showed that demographic profile such as age, gender, income, religion, number of children has no significant relationship to the perception of infidelity of the married couples. Self-concept and marital satisfaction on the other hand have a significant relationship with perception of infidelity. It was also revealed that marital satisfaction greatly affects perception of infidelity. Marital satisfaction and perception of infidelity are positively related.
