Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. April 2011. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Armi Grace L. Bicomong. The study was conducted in Selected Barangays in General Trias, Cavite. For the purpose of determining the socio-economic profile, perceived parenting styles and emotional maturity of out-of-school youth. For this reason, the study was specifically aimed to: 1.) determining the socio-economic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, educational attainment, number of years as an out-of-school youth, family income, number of siblings, and employment of parents; 2.) determining the types of perceived parenting styles applied among the respondents in terms of authoritarian parenting style, democratic parenting style, permissive parenting style; 3.) identifying the level of emotional maturity of out-of-school youth from selected barangays in General Trias, Cavite; 4.) determining if there is significant relationship in socio-economic profile in; a.) perceived parenting styles b.) emotional maturity; 5.) recognizing if there is significant relationship between perceived parenting styles and emotional maturity of out-of-school youth from selected barangays in General Trias, Cavite. Descriptive-Correlational design was used as the study sought the answer to the problems arise and the relationship of the variables were also determined.
