Abstract: JULIANO, CAROL JEAN P. The Effect of Teacher Storytelling on the Moral Values of the Pupils at Guyam Elementary School, Guyam Malaki, Indang, Cavite SY 2005-2006. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2006. Adviser Mrs. Imelda Filart. This study was about the effect of teacher storytelling on the level of the moral values of the respondents from Guyam Elementary School. There were three different stories read to the student. The titles of the stories were: Robocom, Kung Bak! Sumunod si Tado, and Maagkakaiba Man and Saida. It was read by the teacher as the storyteller. The procedure used for data analysis was the Wilcoxon Rank-test which is non-parametric test. An alternative procedure was the use oft-test for dependent or correlated means. It was also based on the Z-test large samples. The mean pretest result of the moral values was 4.45 which was very high while the mean posttest result was 4.57 which is also very high. It only shows that after the treatment, the moral values of respondents increased. The researcher would like to recommend that this study should be replicated. For the future researchers, they should find respondents that have low moral values to determine effects of storytelling on the development of their moral values.
