Demographic Profile, Level of Aggression and Pro-social Tendency of Selected Police Officers in Bacoor City Police Station. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Imelda R. Filart. The study was conducted from January of 2016 to April of 2017 at the 15 Bacoor City Police Station sectors, including the headquarters in Bacoor City, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: (1) present the demographic profile of the selected police officers in Bacoor City Police Station, Cavite in terms of: (a) age; (b) religious involvement; and (c) length of service; (2) determine the level of aggression that the selected police officers have; (3) determine the prosocial tendency of the selected police officers in Bacoor City Police Station; and (4) ascertain the significant relationship between the following: (a) demographic profile and level of aggression; (b)demographic profile and pro-social tendency; and (c) level of aggression and prosocial tendency. The study used descriptive-correlational for the research design. The instrument used was Pro-social and Aggression Questionnaire. Total enumeration was used to determine the participants. The participants of this study were Police Officers 1 (PO1) coming from the 16 community sectors of Bacoor City Police Station. The statistical treatments employed were frequency, mean, standard deviation and Spearman’s rho. The results revealed that the Police Officers 1 were having below average level of aggression and high prosocial tendency. Their age ranged from 21 to 26 years old and most of their religious involvement was praying. The length of their service was mostly ranging from 7 to 22 months. It was found out that the demographic profile in terms of age and level of aggression has a significant relationship and demographic profile in terms of age and pro- social tendency has also a significant relationship. The level of aggression and pro-social tendency has a significant and inverse relationship.
