The study entitled "Profile, Emotional Management and Sensitivity to Criticism of the selected government employees at the Provincial Capitol of Cavite" was conducted to selected government employees at the Provincial Capitol of Cavite from December 2007 to January 2008. This aimed to (a) determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status, education attainment, length of service, position and monthly income; (b) determine the level of emotional management of the respondents in terms of impulse control, mood management, emotional awareness and empathy, (c) determine the level of sensitivity of the respondents to criticism in terms of positive attitude and negative attitude, (d) determine the significant influence of profiles to emotional management and sensitivity to criticism of the respondent; (e) determine the significant relationship between the emotional management and sensitivity to criticism of the respondents. Descriptive design was employed in the study. This kind of research is concerned to determine if there is a significant influence of the profile to the emotional management and sensitivity to criticism of the respondents and to determine if there is a significant relationship between the emotional management and sensitivity to criticism of the selected government employees at the provincial capitol of Cavite. Stratified sampling procedure was applied to identify the respondents of the study. The study has three hundred thirty four 334 respondents from selected government employees at the Provincial Capitol of Cavite. The researcher used two kinds of questionnaires; first, the emotional management test by Penalba, 2007, Ayon, 2006, Tumans, 2002, in terms of emotional awareness, impulse control, mood management and empathy. Second, the researcher also administered the sensitivity to criticism test from psychological test (internet and some of the items made by the researcher) in terms of positive attitude and negative attitude of the respondents The result revealed that selected government employees at the provincial capitol of Cavite has high level of emotional management and low level sensitivity to criticism of the respondents. The results also indicate that the emotional management of the respondents in terms of impulse control, emotional awareness, and empathy has a significant influence to the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of gender, civil status, educational attainment and position. The results also revealed that the profile in terms age and length of service has a significant influence to the positive attitude of the respondents toward criticism. The gender, length of service and position has a significant influence to the negative attitude of the respondents. The study confirmed that there is a significant relationship between the emotional management and sensitivity to criticism of the selected government employees at the provincial capitol of Cavite. The results show that those respondents with higher emotional management are expected to have lower sensitivity to criticism and those respondents with tower emotional management were expected to be higher level of sensitivity to criticism.
