This study sought to determine whether gender role stress has a relationship on the self-esteem, self-efficacy, and parenting style of working mothers in selected rural areas in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the level of gender role stress experienced by working mothers; determine the level of self-esteem of the participants; determine the level of self-efficacy Of the participants; identify the parenting style of working mothers in terms of: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive and uninvolved, and determine the degree of relationship between: gender role stress and self-esteem, gender role stress and self-efficacy, and gender role stress and parenting style. The researchers made use of descriptive correlational method of research involving 100 working mothers in selected rural areas in Cavite. Findings revealed that the participants had an average level Of gender role stress. Moreover, their self-esteem was found at a high level while they had a very high level of self-efficacy. Furthermore, most of the participants falls under the category of authoritative parenting style with a mean score of 3.39 and a standard deviation of .427. Finally, it was found that both gender role stress and self-esteem and gender role stress and self-efficacy have a significant relationship. On the other hand, gender role stress has no significant relationship with the parenting style.
