The study entitled Relationship Between Usage Level of Cellphone and Level of Attitude towards Courting via Texting of First Year Mass Communication Students was conducted at Cavite State University from January 2006 to February 2006. The study aimed to determine the usage level of cellphone of first year mass communication students and level of attitude towards courting via texting. Twenty-eight first year mass communication students were claim respondents of the study. The research design used was the descriptive survey method. Complete enumeration was used in the respondents. The statistical measures applied were frequency counts, percentage and chi-square. The study showed that out of twenty eight respondents, twelve respondents or 42.9% used cellphone in courting via texting. It was revealed also that there was no relationship between usage level of cellphone and level of attitude towards courting via texting among the first year mass communication students.
