COSTELO, AERON ANTHONY L. Design, Construction and Evaluation of a Drip Irrigation System for Coffee Demonstration Area at the National Coffee Research Development and Extension Center, Cavite State University-Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2017. Adviser: Dr. Ruel M. Modica.
A drip irrigation system was designed, constructed, and evaluated at the National Coffee Research Development and Extension Center (NCRDEC) in Cavite State University-Main Campus. The principal components are the water tank/sunken (6.32 m x 5.98 m x 3 m), 6.5 Hp gas water pump, 2-in polyvinylchloride (PVC) pipe for mainline and sub-main, '/2-in polyethylene (PE) pipe for laterals, four spaghetti drip lines are connected to each emitter in the lateral. The drip irrigation system was constructed for the coffee demonstration farm of the NCRDEC. The efficiency of the drip irrigation system was evaluated in terms of uniformity coefficient (UC). The mean uniformity coefficient to 99. 97 percent.
