EUSEBIO, MICHAEL ALLEN S., Computerized Job Request System for the University Computer Center — CvSU Main Campus. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Mr. Marlon R. Perena
The study entitled, "Computerized Job Request System for the University Computer Center — CvSU Main Campus" was conducted to serve the UCC-Hardware Section and their clientele in the day to day processing of job requests. The gathering of data, planning and development of the system happened at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University — Indang, Cavite, and alternately at Brgy. San Miguel I, Silang, Cavite. Gathering and analysis of data started with the preparation of the outline last June 2013.
Development, testing, and implementation followed until the target completion date, and ended with the submission of the final manuscript on March 2014. The main goal of the study was to develop software which will replace and optimize the current paper-based system that the UCC-Hardware Section has in filing, updating, and tracking of job requests. It specifically aimed to: identify the end-to-end life cycle of a job request; analyze the requirements needed to develop the software; design a system that will be user-friendly and reliable in terms of its functionality and operation; develop a software that will meet the requirements of the client and will help eliminate their concerns; and evaluate the system to be developed using unit testing and system testing,
The Software Development Methodology was used as the methodology to be used for the development of the software. It has seven process workflows which are the following: Analyze/Planning, Breakdown Priority Project, Design Module, Code — Test/Debug, Integration of sub procedures, and Test/Implementation. The system was evaluated by its potential end-users, i.e. staff and technicians of the UCC-Hardware Section. Since there was a limited number of personnel within the UCC-Hardware Section, representatives from their different clients within the university were included. A combined total of sixty (60) participants were selected at random for the evaluation.
The set of questionnaires used is anchored on ISO 9126 which is the international standard for the evaluation of software quality. It classifies software quality in a structured set of characteristics such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability
