Abstract: IAZ, SHEENA MARIE F., and SANTIAGO, MARY JOYCE C. Online cataloging of College of Engineering and Information Technology, Reading Room. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Prof. Marlon R. Pereña. The system was developed to provide an organized online storage of all these and books in the reading room for the benefit of the library in charge, the students, and researchers. This consist of five modules: the Account Management Module that handles all the account of the students and the administrators; the Collaborative Module that contains all the reports generated by the system; the Content Management Module that is used for adding, editing and updating the information about the data and the transactions that happen; and the Search Module that is used to search categories by title, author, date, adviser, technical critic, and tags. The proponents used the software development process in their methodology. This was composed of different phases: the analyze/planning phase, breakdown phase, design module phase, code/tested phase. Integration of subprocedure and testing phase and final testing. During the designing phase, CSS templates and photoshop were used in the constructing the website and enhancement of the system. During the coding phase, the following tools were used to develop the system: Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) as a scripting language: My Structural Language (MySQL) for the database; internet for the WAN connection; and Dreamweaver and Notepad ++ as an editor for the PHP script. The system was evaluated on functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and profitability of the software. The level of acceptance of the users was obtained; thus success was established in meeting the requirement and expectations needed by the users.
