Personality Trait and Leadership Style of Central Student Government and Supreme Student Government of Colleges and SatelliteCampuses of Cavite State University, AY 2009-2010. Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2010. Adviser: Ms. Ma. Alodia C. Mercado. This study was intended to determine the significant relationship of Personality trait and Leadership Style of the respondents. Specifically, this study has the objectives of knowing the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, and campus college; to determine the personality trait of the respondents in terms of openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism; to determine the leadership style of the respondents in terms of autocratic, democratic, and free- rein; and to determine the significant relationship between personality trait and leadership styles of the respondents. This study was conducted from November 2009 to February 2010 at Cavite State University and its satellite campuses namely: Carmona, Cavite city, Imus, Naic, Rosario, Silang, Tanza, and Trece Martirez. There were 83 student leaders who were selected as respondents. The researcher adopted the descriptive- correlational type of the study which involves analysis and evaluation of the relationship of the personality traits and the leadership style of the respondents and had used the purposive or deliberate sampling in choosing her respondents since the researcher intend to determine in particular the relation of the personality traits and the leadership styles of the respondents. Majority, the respondents were female, of 19-20 years of age and were come from Carmona Campus. They were also said to be agreeable in terms of their personality trait and democratic leaders. Likewise, the result of this study showed that there is no significant relationship between personality trait and leadership style of the respondents.
