Abstract: GAJETE, KERTZ HENRICH R., QUIJANO, MARILIN A., RUIZ, ARNEL B., AND SOTTO, CHARLS BENEDICK R. PyDrag: A Drag and Drop Interpreter Developed for Android Application for an Introductory Python Programming Course. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Ms. Julie Ann C. Lontoc. The study was conducted for Cavite State University students who tend to have a Python programming language course in their curriculum, April 2022 to May 2022. Used relevant data were collected online from various connected literature and research. Internet sources, articles and books were used in supporting this study. The main goal of the study was to develop PyDrag: A Drag and Drop Interpreter developed for android application for an Introductory Python Programming Course and improve a Python3 Programming Language interpreter application through the use of Android System. Particularly, this research study aimed to: (1) design and develop the interpreter to be flexible and optimized for the students and beginners; (2) design and develop an android application that provides new admirable and fascinating features for the user, and a more flexible use of the application such as auto indentation and reserved keywords color categorization; (3) develop an application that can assist student's desire to use what they believe is easier to use with the purpose of teaching Python Language in computer science; (4) develop a mobile interpreter to prove the use of Drag and Drop Algorithm features in programming; and (5) yest the modules are implemented in the application if it is working properly. To measure the significance of the application, the researchers calculated the mean and standard deviation to determine the application's importance. Correspondent to the system application's functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability are then evaluated. One hundred (100) non-technical and 12 technical experts have participated in evaluating the mobile application. Based on the result of the application's evaluation, the mobile application resulted in excellent interpretation in all software standards or criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The overall average of the non-technical and technical evaluation is 4.57 indicating an "excellent" interpretation. As a result, the proponents concluded that the use of the drag and drop feature that was implemented in this application promotes a new perspective and creative way to code and it concluded that the PyDrag application is very flexible and a reliable learning tool especially for python programming beginners.
