Abstract: OVAS, ABEGAIL F. Employment of Graduates of Bachelor of Science in Economics Program of Cavite State University, 2005-2012. Bachelor of Science in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser: Ms. Ma.Soledad M. Lising. The study described the present condition of the graduates of BS Economics programs of Cavite State University 2005-2012. Specifically, it aimed to (1) describe the socio-economic characteristics of the graduates of Bachelor of Science in Economics, 2005-2012; (2) determine the present employment status of the BS Economics graduates; (3) determine the previous employment history of the BS Economics graduate; (4) determine the nature of work of the BS Economics graduate; (5) determine the present monthly income of the BS Economics graduate; (6) identify the problems encountered by the graduate of BS Economics who are presently employed, self-employed and unemployed. Descriptive method of statistics was used in the study. A complete list of the graduates was used as the respondents. The study was conducted from October to January 2013. Results revealed that most of the respondents were female with an average age of 26 years old and single. The study revealed that majority of the respondents were employed and belong to the private sector and regular to their work. More than half of the respondents had an employment history. The nature of work of the graduates engaged in services. The income of the graduates ranged from P6,000 to P92,000 per month and had an average of P16, 193.55. Only few of the respondents had other sources of income. Problems encountered by employed respondents were low salary, poor working relationship, lack of knowledge about the job, location of job is too far, poor health, communication skills, delayed salary, and stress from work while the problems encountered by self- employed were human error, capital is not enough and unlimited liabilities.
