Abstract: NAZARENO, JUSTINNE P. and RAMOS ALEXIE MARINELA N. Imahenasyon: A Proposed Animation Studio with Theme Park. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Arch. James Art Pimentel. The study was conducted from June 2015 to April 2016 at Cavite State University to formulate a design for an animation studio with a theme park. Specifically it aimed to: establish the qualities of site that will serve as a basis in selecting the most efficient site for the animation studio with theme park; determine the carrying capacity of the animation studio and theme park; to review policies governing the design of an animation studio and theme park; select the most efficient site for animation studio with theme park; formulate a design philosophy to follow in the design solution conceptualization; establish a concept that will serve as a guide in the building design; and create a form concept that will serve as a basis in conceptualizing the form and shape of the building. The study applied architectural programming on the design method to accomplish establishment of the site criteria, design criteria, design concept, form concept, design philosophy and prepare an effective plan for the facility. The proposal intended to respond to the need for a facility for the animation industry of the Philippines. The study found that Brgy. Mayasang, Lemery, Batangas possess characteristics of a suitable site for the animation studio. The researchers were able to develop a site development plan, floor plans, elevations, section and perspectives for architectural presentation. A scaled model was developed to show its actual appearance that could serve as reference for the students and faculty members of the Cavite State University and for the city of Batangas for planning and development.
