This study specially aimed to determine the socio demographic profile of participants such as age, sex and years in service; determine the stress level of participants in terms of organizational and operational; determine the coping mechanism used by firefighters in terms of problem focused and emotion focused; determine the social support received by firefighters in terms of instrumental and emotional; to compare the stress level of firefighters when they are grouped based on their socio demographic profile; to know the relationship between stress level and coping mechanism and analyze the relationship between stress level and social support. This study used descriptive, comparative and correlational research design. It was conducted in selected areas in Cavite. A total of 183 participants were asked to answer three instruments that measured the stress level, coping mechanism and social support. It was found that based on the results the participants have an average level of stress in operational and organizational stress. In coping mechanisms, emotion focused is higher than problem-focused. In social support, they used emotional social support than instrumental. Moreover, stress level of firefighters when they are grouped based on their socio-demographic profile shows that male firefighters are more stressed than females, while stress level in terms of sex has a significant differences. In addition, firefighters stress level and age as well the stress level and firefighters year in service has no significant differences. Stress level and firefighters coping mechanism in terms of problem focused has no significant relationship. Moreover there is a significant relationship between stress level and coping mechanism in terms of emotion focused. There is a significant relationship between the firefighter’s stress level and social support in terms of instrumental and emotional support. Since studies regarding stress level, coping mechanism and social support of firefighters are limited, conducting studies with the same topic in different areas are recommended to the future researchers. This would somehow to sustain the limited information about stress level, coping mechanism and social support among firefighters in selected areas of Cavite
