Abstract: ANANO, ANGELICA B. The Roles of Social workers and its implications on the Moral Values of the Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) in selected institutions in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2017. Adviser: Imelda R. Filart. This study was conducted to identify the roles of the Social Workers and its implications on the Moral Values of the Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) in selected institutions in Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the roles of the Social Workers in delivering programs and services to the CICL in the institutions; identify the implications of the roles of Social Workers to the moral values of the CICL; classify the activities that the Social Workers/institutions executed in molding the moral values of the CICL, and to identify the implications of the activities to the CICL. This research employed a narrative and survey kind of design where data was collected from the participants by means of interviewing them and giving out self-administered questionnaires. This kind of research design intends to collect the data since it gives the researcher a chance to collect primary data from the participants. The participants of this study were five (5) Registered Social Workers from the five selected City Social Welfare and Development Offices (CSWDO) in Cavite namely, Dasmarinas City, General Trias City, Trece Martires City, Tagaytay City and Imus City. This also includes five (5) CICL participants' ages 15 t018 years of age from "Bahay Kalinga" in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. The result of the study revealed that the roles of the Social Worker in the institution were the following: counselor, case manager, supervisor, monitors the behavior as well as the development of the CICL; a resource provider, coordinator, designs and implement programs and services. And at times, they are also educators. They educate clients through seminars. The five Registered Social Workers in City Social Welfare and Development Offices’ came up with one finding and it turns out that there were positive implications on the role of the social workers on the moral values of the CICL because they all answered that all interventions, they used in moulding the moral values of the children were effective because there were no cases of recidivism and some of the CICL are recommended by the houseparent to be discharged. The particular programs or services that focus in moulding the moral values of the CICL are more on recreational activities, bible study, spiritual enhancement, and values formation. The researcher interviewed five CICL in CSWDO Dasmarinas City, Bahay Kalinga to identify the implications of their activities on the moral values of the CICL. The results were visible and identifiable on the personality and behavioral aspects of the respondents. They learned and improved a lot especially on the moral and spiritual aspects. The bible studies and other spiritual activities religiously conducted by the volunteer churchmen, pastors, and NGO's were the main factors for such improvement. And the institution is certain that they have successfully changed the children's lives through spiritual intervention because that was the main values that the children's need.
